Although it’s not officially summer yet, a sunny, hot June day in New York certainly calls for a trip to the city. Sunny days in New York are the perfect opportunity to flaunt your new summer clothes as you walk around the city, explore new sights and spend time with friends.
I might have this idea in my head from watching shows such as Gossip Girl and Sex and the City, or maybe because I live an hour away and make each visit an event, but I’ve always loved dressing up for trips to the city.

Since I live an hour away from the city, I try to do something new every time I go. This past weekend, my friend and I went to Top of the Rock (I highly recommend visiting if you haven’t!) and, from 70 floors high, witnessed amazing views overlooking the Empire State Building and Central Park.
Yes, I may have acted like a tourist in my own city, but we all need to see a good skyline at some point. And like I’ve said before, dressing cute + good view = a photo op. that no one wants to miss!
